Tour Description
Addis Ababa is serving as the political capital of Africa. In the long history of Ethiopia, three important sites had been used as permanent capitals of the central government, namely Axum, Lalibela and Gondar, respectively. Addis Ababa is the fourth permanent capital of Ethiopia and the third highest capital of the world. This capital is founded in 1886 by Empress Taitu and Emperor Menelik.

Trinity Cathedral Church
It is built in 1941 ordered by Emperor Haile Selassie after the restoration of independence from the Fascist Italian occupation. Many beautiful paintings, murals and stained-glass windows decorate the interior. Its exteriors are very impressive with elaborate pillars and carved decorations.There are many statues of angels and disciples on the rooftop, culminating in an impressive way. The tombs of Emperor Haile Selassie and his wife (Queen Menen) are found inside the church.
The tombs and monuments of very important persons including the patriots who lost their lives during the five years Italian occupations of Ethiopia, members of the royal family, commemorations of Ethiopian soldiers who died in the Korean War (1950-1953) and monuments of Sylvia Pankhrust found in the churchyard.
National Museum
The national museum displays a replica of the early hominid 'Lucy' and a valuable collection of historical artifacts, ancient coins, and some paintings by modern Ethiopian artists. Upstairs there are stunning examples of traditional ceremonial dress, robes, and crowns and enormous decorated throne.
